Services

Hull & deck cleaning, tailored to your boat.

Regular in‑water hull cleanings cut drag, improve fuel efficiency, and extend the life of your bottom paint. Our diver team keeps your hull, running gear, and waterline in peak condition through the entire boating season.

In‑water hull cleaning & inspection

Divers gently remove algae and marine growth from your hull, keel, and running surfaces, then visually inspect for damage, blisters, or paint issues so you catch problems early.

  • Recommended every 4–6 weeks in season
  • Reduces drag and fuel burn
  • Helps maintain antifouling performance

Prop & running gear detailing

Fouled props and shafts can kill your performance. We clean props, shafts, struts, tabs, and intakes so your boat accelerates faster and runs smoother at cruise.

  • Improves acceleration & handling
  • Reduces vibration and noise
  • Add‑on or stand‑alone service

Zinc checks & corrosion watch

During hull cleanings we visually check your anodes. On request we can report on zinc wear so your yard or mechanic can replace them before corrosion sets in.

  • Peace of mind between haul‑outs
  • Optional photo or video add‑on

Topside, deck & waterline washes

Keep your boat looking great above the waterline too. We offer topside rinses, deck scrubs, and waterline stain removal that pair perfectly with your hull cleanings.

  • Bundle with hull cleaning for savings
  • Ideal before guests or longer trips

Pricing: Most jobs are quoted by boat length, condition, and location. The sample rates above are typical for regularly maintained boats; heavily fouled hulls are priced after inspection.

Why it matters

Dirty hulls can waste up to 30% more fuel.

Marine growth adds drag, slows you down, and forces engines to work harder. Regular hull cleaning is one of the simplest ways to improve performance and protect your investment.

Save fuel & go farther

Even moderate fouling can increase fuel burn by 10–30%. Keeping your bottom clean helps you cruise faster with less throttle.

Protect bottom paint

Routine diver cleaning keeps your antifouling coating working as designed so you can extend the time between expensive haul‑outs.

Catch issues early

Underwater inspections can reveal blisters, corrosion, or damage that’s hard to spot from the dock, saving you from costly surprises later.

FAQ

Questions we get all the time.

How often should I clean my hull?

Most local boats benefit from in‑water hull cleaning every 4–6 weeks during the warm‑water season when growth is fastest. Heavy‑use or always‑wet boats may need more frequent service.

Do you use eco‑friendly methods?

Yes. We use diver‑powered scrubbing and tools that are gentle on your bottom paint while removing marine growth. No harsh chemicals are released into the water.

What areas do you service?

We primarily serve Norwalk Harbor and nearby marinas, plus much of the western Long Island Sound. Include your exact slip or mooring in the quote form and we’ll confirm availability.

Can you work while I’m away?

Absolutely. As long as we have access to your slip or mooring and any required gate codes, we can clean and inspect your boat while you’re at work or out of town.

What if my hull hasn’t been cleaned in a long time?

Boats with heavy fouling simply take more dive time. We’ll let you know if your hull needs an initial deep clean and quote that separately from any ongoing maintenance plan.
